Three 505s on display at Alexandra Palace

At the RYA Dinghy Show at Alexandra Palace, three 505s were on display: as well as 9107  on the class stand, Harken chose the 505 to display an extensive range of fittings, including an interesting new main sheet setup, and Ovington were using a 505 to demonstrate their build quality.  There remains no doubt that the 505 represents the best in sailing dinghies, and apart from anything else, looks as beautiful on land as it does on water.

There was many a discussion about the relative merits of the P&B rope bridle compared to the Jess sliding hoop, and plenty of inspection of the different systems on display, giving inspiration to visitors to go and bimble!

Thank you to all of the class members who helped set up, man and dismantle the class stand over the weekend.
