History:
Boat was  commissioned by a German for his Sons What I was told by him was:
Ziegelmayer was considering building 505s and bought the Kyrwood moulds from Australia.
The boat hull was built for the First owner by Kyrwood in Australia in 2000 using epoxy with both kevlar and carbon strengthening and with end grain balsa  to stiffen the hull  ( Kyrwood had stopped normal production in 1997).
The Boat was then  shipped to Germany still in the moulds to get around customs Inport tax and hull bonded together at Ziegelmayer factory
The fit out was done at the Ziegelmayer by the owner under guidance from factory – basically as a prototype for future production.
Ziegelmayer did not go into production.
